Degree courses

The Faculty of Economics of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata " offers the following three degree courses: Econo-mics and Commerce (specialising in Busi-ness Administration and Political Eco-nomy), Economics of Financial Institutions and Financial Markets and Economy of Public Administration and International Institutions.
From here on professional directions considered relevant to each degree course are schematically indicated without, however, neglecting the traditional careers open to graduates in Economics (companies, institutions, free-lance professions).

Economics and Commerce

  • Business Administration

Requirements for Matriculation

To be eligible for matriculation, candidates are required to take an "orientative" test in order to determine their individual inclination to the study of Economics, their logical-analytical background and their level of generaI culture. Although this test may give an indication of the candidates suitability to a degree course in Economics, a negative outcome does not prevent the candidate from matriculating. The test is generally taken during the first half of September.

  • 4 didactic laboratories for computing with 35 personal computers and a language laboratory

  • A room reserved for the activities of stu-dent associations and committees
  • A library specialised in the following subject areas: economic, business, juridical, statistical-mathematical and linguistic
  • Besides the student secretariat of the Faculty of Economics, there is also an information service named "SportelloGiovani" run by the Faculty with the help, on a part-time basis, of students
  • Communication and Press Centre
  • Service for the Elaboration of Data (S.E.D.) serving both Faculty personnel and students
  • Cafeteria, two bars (one of which has a large terrace) and the on-campus university canteen

Student Associations

Within the Faculty there are, as well as student committees, a number of international cultural associations (AIESEC and AEGEE). Furthermore, students have formed an association called the "Associazione fra Studenti, Imprese ed Istituzioni Tor Vergata Economia". Cultural initiatives are also promoted (conferences, debates, film showings, concerts).
