ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES FOR UNDERGRADUATE ITALIAN AND ECCITIZENS* WITH  ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS OBTAINED ABROAD

In addition to all of the standard application requirements, the students belonging to this category  must hand in the following  application materials at the registrar’s office of the school of choice:

a) The original copy of  the secondary school diploma or an official  written  communication  stating its attainment.

b) Official translation of the secondary school diploma.

c) Legalization of  the secondary school diploma.

d) Statement of worth  referred  to the issuing country board of education standard.

e )Certificate stating that the candidate has the requirements needed to enter University in the country of origin or a personal written declaration of the possession of the requirements.

NOTE: c) and d) must be  done by the Italian Delegation in the country  where the certificate is issued.

NOTE: b) and c) need not to be handed in  if an official written  communication stating its attainment  is produced.

Should a university entrance examination be required in the student’s native country, a certificate stating its positive result must be submitted; an official written statement indicating  the positive result is also accepted.

Should the student’s diploma  cover a  cycle of instruction shorter than 12 years, he is  required to produce additional post high school certificates  (along with the contents of each course of instruction and  a statement of positive result)  in order to total the  twelve years required; this procedure allows international students to enroll in the  first year. Students whose diploma covers a cycle of instruction longer than 12 years, will follow a shorter academic iter  by acquiring credits towards the degree program of choice; these students will therefore have to make up only for the difference in terms of number of credits, so as to fulfill the requirements of the degree program chosen. The shorter academic iter is granted  only when the number of years of attendance expected  is higher than the number of ars for which credits are acquired towards the chosen degree program.

International students may also enroll in a second level degree (or two year specialization program) provided they hand in the documents listed above  (see a-e)  and  a title issued by a University  or a post high school certificate issued by a higher institution which qualifies for university entrance. In any case, the student  must have had a 12-year long cycle of instruction and must have passed the entrance examination of the school of choice, if required.
