4) For the income tax code (Codice
Fiscale)
The Codice Fiscale is not compulsory but
you need it if you want to open a bank account here. To
obtain one, go to the following offices (depending on
where you will be resident here in Rome) from 8.30 to
12 noon, Monday through Friday:
